Bizzarrini Utes. p. A. was an Italian automotive manufacturer inside the 1960s founded by previous Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and ISO engineer, Giotto Bizzarrini. The Bizzarrini marque may be revived with many concept cars in the 2000s.Giotto Bizzarrini was created in Livorno, Italy in 1926. His father was any rich landowner who originated in a family with solid roots in Tuscany as well as the city of Livorno. His grandfather, also named Giotto Bizzarrini, was a biologist who had caused Guglielmo Marconi on his inventions, especially the radio, following which one of the Livorno Library sections seemed to be named The Bizzarrini Selection.Bizzarrini graduated as an engineer from the University of Pisa with 1953. Bizzarrini was fired by Ferrari during the "palace revolt" of 1961. He became part associated with Automobili Turismo e Sport (ATS)), a company started with the ex-Ferrari engineers to produce a Formula 1 single seater along with a GT sport car, the A. T. S. Serenissima. One of ATS's fiscal backers, Count Giovanni Volpi, owner of Scuderia Serenissima, hired Bizzarrini to improve a Ferrari 250 GT SWB, with chassis number #2819GT in order to GTO specifications. This resulted in your Ferrari 250 GT SWB Drogo also known as the "Breadvan".Bizzarrini's engineering company, Societa Autostar, was commissioned to layout a V-12 engine to get a GT car to end up being built by another not satisfied Ferrari customer, Ferruccio Lamborghini. Lamborghini considered the resulting engine to get too highly strung, and ordered that that be detuned.

Bizzarrini worked since 1964 regarding Iso Rivolta and designed three models: Iso Rivolta GT, Iso Grifo both A3L and A3C versions. His work was to formulate a pressed steel figure chassis for Iso cars. Renzo Rivolta hired him as consultant to the Iso Gordon GT venture which became the Iso Rivolta GT. The Iso Gordon GT prototype was created from the Gordon-Keeble. The Gordon Keeble GT had been designed in 1960 by Giugiaro. Bizzarrini tested the car or truck and was impressed from the powerful V8 Corvette engine and also the rear De Dion tube used by the GT:'Rivolta had me test the prototype. I liked its De Dion tubing and especially the Corvette serp. It was the first-time I had driven one. It was superior to be able to Ferrari's engines, having the same power but using a more immediate throttle reaction. 'The Iso Rivolta GT has been a Giugiaro designed a number of seater with beautiful human body, speed, comfort and handling, and was a profitable car for ISO together with 799 units sold. Powered by a 327ci Chevrolet Corvette V8 engine with a classic De Dion raise suspension design with forced steel monocoque bodywork around pressed steel frame framework. Unveiled to the push in 1963, production continued until 1970.The Iso Grifo A3L has been a monstrous idea for any super coupé, the L coming coming from Lusso. The result of the actual brilliant Giugiaro and Bizzarrini doing the job together, it was based on the shortened Iso Rivolta GT chassis and was debuted at the 1963 Turin show. The Grifo epitomised your 1960s Italian style with its handsome low and large handmade bodywork. It was the most effective production car tested by means of Autocar Magazine in 1966 which has a top speed of 160 mph (260 km/h). Later versions of the actual Grifo were powered by way of a big block Chevrolet Corvette 435 bhp (324 kW; 441 PS) serps. These 90 handbuilt units are distinguishable through the raised "pagoda style" details bonnet. Some of these Iso Grifo 7 Litri devices were rebuilt later with a great deal larger engines.

Thinking about Bizzarrini was to utilize 3AL cars for rivalry. The competition versions with the Grifo were named Iso Grifo A3C, C for Competizione as well as Corsa. A new lightweight riveted aluminium lightweight body was designed and also built by Piero Drogo. It was an aggressively designed machine, oriented to endurance events. It uses normal ISO underpinnings even so the engine was moved further last the chassis frame versus Grifo A3L, protruding well into the driver's cabin, fitted with hot cams and fed by several big Weber carburettors, giving more than 400 bhp (298 kW; 406 PS).
